This course is to be used as an opportunity for advanced band students to further challenge and expand their knowledge and skill as musicians. Students will accomplish this through the study of advanced music literature and etudes both as a soloist and member of an advanced ensemble. Each student, through live concert attendance and the study of the finest audio and video recordings of all types and genres of musical soloists and ensembles will refine their concepts of superior musicianship and ensemble performance. DC students must be capable of advanced musical skills and habits to be enrolled. They would be expected to be capable of selection to the All-Region band and Wind Ensemble. Course numbers are sequential.
