MUAP 2265 A – Applied Organ (2,1,1).

Students desiring to study organ should have studied piano previously and should have attained technical proficiency equivalent to MUAP 1169. One-hour lesson per week with a minimum of two hours of practice per day is required. The minimum representative requirements in repertory are these: Gleason: Method of Organ Playing Manual Technique; Pedal Techniques Composition for Manuals Studies and Compositions for Manual and Pedal Bach: Eight Little Preludes and Fugues Works from Orgelbuchlein; Works comparable in difficulty to Cathedral Prelude and Fugue; Easy compositions by modern American and foreign composers. The student shall perform for jury each semester the requested numbers, and perform in a recital at least once each semester. Course numbers are sequential.
