Texarkana College expects students to attend and participate in all courses in which they are enrolled. For courses in which the student has never attended or has not established participation by the census date, the student will be administratively dropped from the course.
After the census date, students are responsible for officially withdrawing from courses if they are no longer attending or if circumstances prevent completion of the course. Students who stop attending after the census date and do not officially withdraw by the published last day to drop will receive a failing grade, including a grade of WF or F, as determined by the course grading policy.
Students should understand that they must officially withdraw themselves from a class. Until the withdrawal is processed, the student remains enrolled and is responsible for all academic and financial consequences associated with the course. Students must withdraw from a class by contacting the Office of Enrollment Services by the published last day to drop referenced in the table below.
The institution may establish additional attendance/participation requirements for workforce, clinical, lab, online, and other special-format courses where licensure, certification, accreditation, or instructional requirements require stricter attendance standards.
